“All the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean but the neighbors were a little loud. The restaurant did not have the breakfast bar as we expected because "their projections were not high enough." Overall nice stay”

“Only disappointment was that the nicer resturants were not open, I'm sure because of the Holiday, nonetheless disappointed”

“The room was very comfortable and the amenities in the hotel were quite convenient. I loved the view of the Ohio River from my window. All staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The only negatives in my three day experience were a very poor chicken sandwitch purchased from the snack bar in the third floor crossover, and the lack of wifi in the conference area.”

“We checked in late after Thanksgiving dinner. The staff on duty then were very helpful both for arrival and departure two days later. The suite was nearly ideal for us (two adults and 3 toddlers); although we took the liberty of moving the furniture around to make space for our living arrangement. The lobby was pleasantly decorated and spacious. Cleaning room service was a bit spotty -- probably because we left our room just before noon. Still waiting for a hotel in Louisville that is really kid friendly -- including a playroom and shallow swimming facility for the kids. Until then, Galt house gives the competition a good run for the money.”

“Especially enjoyed having a suite. My husband was able to go to bed and I stayed up to watch TV in the outer room where the sound didn't both him. All staff was courteous and helpful. Alcohol drinks were too small for the price charged and my "grasshopper" was too watery. Didn't understand why we couldn't park in the same building as our room. That was strange.”

“I reserved a standard queen room but upon check in they were out. We did get there around 11pm but the great thing was that we got upgraded to a suite for no additional charge. It was huge! More than we needed but very nice. There was a living room area that lead to a hall way where the big bathroom was. Following the hall way led to the bedroom with two queen size beds. in the. Edeoom was a big closet and a bathrobe. There was a big TV. The view from this 15th floor suite was great! We could see the river. Overall, we were very happy with the stay. We did have to pay $12 for parking. ”

“Good view, nice size, large hotel with lots going on, convenient to restaurants, shopping and downtown attractions, easy to get to from out of town.”

“Room staff was helpful. I booked online and held with a credit card. When I got there with my school check they would not accept and I had to go back to my school to get another check made out to me. Room was not cleaned until around 4:00 PM. Too late.”

“This Hotel is very aged, and in need of a good cleaning and remodel. Carpet was very dirty, old and outdated. The food served at the restaurants was mediocre at best. $12 a day parking plus $150 for the room, and it was dirty, come on! Internet access was very poor. ”

“WOW!! Very nice stay...the hospitality was first class. The suite was so big we didn't even get a chance to enjoy it all. Thank you for making our stay first class. ”

“Good experience, great room, convenient parking, lots to do in area...I didn't get receipt at check out. Checkout should be easier for us non-techies.”

“While the staff was wonderful, I just happened to get a room with a leaky a/c unit. Attempts were made to help, but the carpet remained wet and the room smelly. Relatives (competing in the Iron Man comp.) were just across the hall, so I stayed put. I would gladly stay again, but not in this room!”

“I booked a 2-night stay at the Galt House through Room Stays. The process was very easy and the check-in a breeze. A nice feature the Galt House has implemented since our last stay has been the parking pass. Now you use your room key at the garage entry instead of keeping up with multiple cards. We were upgraded to a suite room, which was very nice of them. I also suggest asking for a river view to get the full effect of your stay (this is the option we took). The hotel's revolving restaurant on the 25th floor of the Rivue Tower is romantic and the view is stellar. Our meal there was delicious. Overall, enjoyable stay. ”

“Great location. Loved the pool area. Elevators were a real pain-very slow and you would have to wait for 10-15 minutes sometimes. Parking also hard to find-the hotel lot was full”

“The maids forgot to leave me coffee for the coffee maker the first day, but after I complained, they left me plenty every day and were very pleasant & courteous. The room was very clean but there was an odd, moldy smell, primarily in the bathroom area. The desk staff ran hot & cold. Some were helpful, others not so much. Only the bus boys were truly awful. I spent a lot of time dodging their carts to miraculously escape injury. They were rude and would trap you in the elevators with their carts if you weren't really nimble. The suite had a fridge (great) but no microwave (bummer). A little pricey over all but not a bad experience.”

“The Galt House has an excellent location and very friendly and helpful staff. But the room and bathroom fixtures were somewhat old, the elevators too, making the value of the stay here questionable in relation to the room rates. Overall a satisfactory experience.”

“I had to have a medical procedure performed in Louisville, so my sister-in-law (who lives in Louisville)decided to treat us. She raved about the Galt House, so we spent two nights there. We were greeted by smiling, friendly desk personnel. The parking garage had ample parking. Our room had a super view of the Ohio River. During our stay, I only called the desk once, pleasant and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. No complaints with the room. No complaints with the service. My wife and I had a delightful two day stay in Louisville.”
