4th Time Stay
“This last stay marks the 4th time we have been here and I have to say that it is still as good as the first time. The staff was really nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It is a nice place to be when in Lake Tahoe and I would be sure to stay here again.”

Beach Retreat & Lodge
“Cons: Our stay at the Beach Retreat and Lodge was 'ok'. As we already read from prior reviews, the room was small and everyone is right about that, approx. 300 sq. including the bathroom space. The TV was quite outdated and had some issues. When we arrived, we asked for a 3rd floor room and the staff was not willing to work with us even though there were no cars in the parking lot. Staff claimed there were no rooms available on the 3rd floor. We found it difficult to believe as our entire time (four days), there were maybe a dozen cars in the parking lot at any given time. Very Unwilling to work with us which was disappointing. Don't expect a microwave or fridge - they don't have either. Fireplace was nice but as others have said it was very noisy but could have been a plus as there was noise above and below us which the noise from the fireplace/heater drowned out some of the noise. Pros: WiFi was very quick. Location to beach was nice. Would not stay there again. ”

Loved it
“We will be back and already told my friends and family about our stay. Room was perfect, hospitality was excellent. It was my birthday and the Manager sent a bottle of wine to my room. Haven't had the chance to thank him yet, but I will.”

Our Stay
“We always stay here when we come to Tahoe. We love the beach and the beautiful view from our room. The room was clean, nice and our bed was comfortable, but the TV needs to be replaced. The picture was so faded that you couldn't see it. We were also disappointed that breakfast was no longer included with our stay. I would stay here again. ”

Nice Lodge But Bad Construction
“The room was fine but the road construction was horrible. We stayed 3 nights Wed-Fri and were given a room right on the road that was under construction ALL NIGHT each night of our stay. The inn was not full so I think it would have been smarter to put us in a room away from the noise. ”

“Friendly staff, nice that the breakfast was included. Rooms are getting very dated,carpets stained and made the room feel unclean. We had a small dog with us, $20./night extra. Possibly we were in the doggie section of the Hotel.”

“I had my confirmation written down and gave to the clerk, she was unable to find it and called a manager. The Mngr also searched the data base without any luck, she graciously gave us a room. I had apparently had written the number incorrectly. It's service like this that makes us keep returning, thank you Best Western”

return to your paradise
“we spent a portion of our honeymoon with you, 26years, almost 27 now, ago. we came this time to celebrate the wedding of another couple and immediately knew we would stay with you folks. Thank you all. Our stay was great. One thing, I say this partially in tease but mostly seriously. You have to get taller toilets. They are good for kids, but for us full grown folk, it was a long way down to the cool porcelin. ”
