“We are Hilton Honors members, and we were made to feel welcome the moment we approached the desk to check in. We met a lady, who was assisiting with the busy influx of guests arriving. She arranged for a gorgeous room with an incredible view. She asked us to check back with her and let her know if we approved. We loved it!Every detail was well thought out, and the room was clean and spacious. Everyone we met during our stay went out of their way to make eye contact, smile, and ask if we needed any help. This included doormen, garage attendnants, housekeepers, security guards, restaurant servers, and concierge. Of note, we would not only like to thank her, but also a man from maintenance, and the parking garage manager. All of these people made us feel like royalty, and we will always remember our stay. ”

“Room old, small, terrible view, wallpaper pealing off Internet should be FREE in ROOM”

“The room was fabulous. I was on the 42nd floor of the tower with a million dollar view of San Francisco! The staff were great, as well. Everything was perfect. I would stay there again without question. ”

“Arrived early. Was delighted to be checked in early after an early morning flight. Room was clean. Close to everything.Staff was helpful.I'd come back next time in town. ”

“We stayed at this hotel during a convention. The first thing you notice is the drab look of the lobby. Oversuffed with outdated, disparate furniture, carpet peeling, it feels like this lobby needs a major facelift. Service was fast but impersonal. Rooms are small, but confortable and clean. I would rate as a 2 star hotel. More like a rund down second rate hotel than the Hilton. At $265 + 15.5% tax it is ridiculous. It feels more like a $70 a night hotel. I would not stay at this hotel again. Nor do I recommend it to others.”

“The shower drained a little slow, but we had friends in another room that didn't have that problem. The location was great and convenient for everything we wanted to do. Beds were comfortable, staff was great. It was a good experience and enjoyed our stay. We would stay there again!”

“Very well equipped hotel with resturant, Starbucks, Valet parking garage, great location to Union Square. Staff very friendly and helpful, but what was included with our room never arrived. Our room came with free internet, free water bottles and free breakfast coupons....oh and we were missing a hair dryer, otherwise, the view from our room was great and the room very comfortable.”

“The room was clean. Staff was helpful. Beds were very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to others. We especially likedthe waitress in the hotel restaurant. She was wonderful, friendly and very efficient. We asked for her each time we had breakfast. She is an asset to the hotel.”

“Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had all we needed (coffee/hot water unit) and the space was fine for the 2 of us. The view from floor 32 of the city and Golden Gate Bridge was nice. The FREE breakfast pastries and fruit and beverage from Starbuck's was great and unexpected!”

“Stayed 3 nights. Lobby always too crowded & extremely noisey. Same as last 2 times was here. People seem to gather there for long periods of time, some with luggage, others eating. It looks tacky. A Starbuck's in the lobby is a bad idea. Customers block the lobby pathway. No counter space in bathroom. I think this was my last stay at this Hilton.”

“The room was pleasant and clean. About an hour before I planned to check out I turned on the shower and found that the water temperature was barely tepid. (Water coming from the sink spigot was hot.) I called the front desk and asked for an adjustment to my room rate. I didn't request a plumbing adjustment since I planned to leave within twenty minutes. Instead, I was given a certificate for a continental breakfast at Starbucks. I was not satisfied with this offer.”

“Staff was extremely courteous. Hotel centrally located, parking was a bit expensive ($50. for overnight, but it was our choice to park where we did) Rooms clean, quiet. We'll be back!”

“We were treated with the courtesy of the old days. Nice rooms, great health club and a roomy lobby!”

“My experience with Hilton Union Square has been always been outstanding. As a loyal customrer over the years, I have received 5 star service at every visit. ”

“The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. When you think of a Hilton Hotel, we didn't expect the bathroom to only fit one person. The room was so small that the bathroom door was a side by side door. For a family of 4, I would never stay here again, especially for the price we paid.”

“Nice and clean room; Close distance to Union square area; Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.”

“Had to upgrade because first rm was small and facing a garage deck. The upgrade cost an extra $50 a day but well worth the view of the bay and city. Staff was excellant and very helpful. Location is excellant. ”

“Area could be considered a little on the rough edges of the Tenderloin, but all in all it's a great place. Just take a right out of the hotel and all is well. Amenities were good within the hotel and the location in Union Square was easily accessible for most every hot spot. Like I said, only downside is the Tenderloin area where the homeless hang out.”

“Certainly a convenient location right in the heart of SF. Nothing fancy considering it was a Hilton though. My only beef was the view, featuring the roof of the ballroom and hotel rooms on the other side. But, when you book the weekend special, you shouldn't expect the room with the best view. ”
