Great location for my needs. Room was very comfortable and clean. Great shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had an issue both nights with my pass key not working and had to go to front desk to get new one and they apologized. Also part of the coffee pot in the room was missing. Other than that, I would stay there again on my next trip.
I'm 70 and my husband is 65 and we have spent many nights in hotels. However, we both agree we have never spent a more miserable one than the night we spent at the Astor! We arrived around 4:00PM and, though it was the coldest night of the year, the heat had not been turned on in our room prior to our arrival. I turned it on immediately when we got there but it did not heat up for us to take showers before going out for the evening at around 7:30PM. We thought it would be warmer by the time we got back around 11:00PM, but we were wrong! By then we didn't feel like asking for a different room and packing up to move, with no promise that another room would be any different. So we piled all the blankets and linens from both beds onto one and huddled all night trying to keep warm. We got up VERY EARLY the next morning and left so that we could warm up in our car, again no showers because it was just too cold! So much for a much anticipated Valentines Day getaway!!
We've stayed at Le Meridian 3 years ago and were pleased. We wanted another location in San Francisco, but weren't able to procure a room. So we made a reservation at your hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the cost of the room and a parking package!!! Every one was polite and helpful. We will be back.
I usually like this hotel, but have 3 complaints about this visit: 1) wasn't informed on check in that we were getting a handicap-accessible room, meaning no tub, only a shower. So obviously I couldn't take that long, hot bath I was looking forward to. 2) The showerhead was the worst ever! Old, plastic thing with no pressure. It took forever just to wash the shampoo out of my hair. And 3) love the robes, but why only 1 when 2 of us were sharing the room? Sharing a robe is not fun. Not great, Flamingo!
Found the accomodations & amenities were not the same as previous visits. Beds were very firm; no couch/recliner; had small table, kitchen didn't have dishwasher; dishes, glasses & silverware needed to be rewashed; missing wine corkscrew, pot & pan scouring pads. Some items we needed to purchase next day to use that were not standard issue.
Past visits were much better. Sorry, but big disappoinment.
the room was clean and the design of the room was excellent and com fortable.
Then they did not clean our rooms while we were gone for the day. The room was not surface dirty when you walk in but after closer inspection (not much closer) you realize the bathroom has hair from other guests and their is no hairdryer or coffee maker. Not even a town or telivision guide. The other people in the motel are a little scary because they live their. Not all of them but most. The only reason I gave this motel a 2 instead of 1 as a rating is because the price was reasonable. I would reccomend you spend another 10 per night and go anywhere else. Sleep in your car before you stay here.
Close to highway, great restaurants, extremely friendly and helpful staff....! and some of the most comfortable mattresses we've ever slept on!
This is a beautiful and historic hotel; friendly staff, great food and close to the Riverwalk area.
I got 3 rooms for our stay. I each for each of my adult children, and 1 for my wife and I and my Grandson. The staff was helpful and nice. Rooms are doable for NYC. Clean environment!!
