Overview

Lethbridge is the fourth largest city in Alberta, Canada. Cool summers, mild winters and a windy climate characterize the city’s climate. Lethbridge is southern Alberta’s center for industry, agriculture and transportation. It is also the cultural capital of Canada from 2004-2005, as it promotes multiculturalism and ethnic heritage within the community.

It is the top rated dessert destination in town and highly recommended by the locals. The Douro’s Pizza and Steak House is one of the best restaurants in Lethbridge. They serve excellent food at fair prices, so you are sure to satisfy those hunger pangs without ruining your budget. The Saigonese Restaurant is one of the most frequented dining spot in the city. Though their food is a bit pricey, once you get a taste of their specialty you are sure to enjoy that best gastronomical experience.

Tourist Attractions

Lethbridge, which is known for its cultural and architectural dynamism, has several historic attractions to offer visiting guests and international vacationers. One of the famous and must-see attractions in Lethbridge is the Lethbridge Viaduct, which is also referred as the High Level Bridge. It is the longest and highest steel bridge that can be found in Northern America. It commemorates the last battle that happened between the Cree and the Blackfoot First Nations. The Fort Hamilton, which was an abode of illegal activities in the late 19th century, was destroyed by fire a year later. A second sturdier structure replaced the fort and now called the Fort Whoop Up. Another great attraction in the city is the Galt Museum and Archives, which is considered as the area’s largest museum, used to be a hospital in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

The Madhatters Liquid Lounge offers a typical pub fare and a fun energetic atmosphere. For a more relaxing experience, the Cotton Blossom Lounge is located in the middle of a botanical garden. You can sip on your favorite cocktail while enjoying the live band performances. For a vibrant and energetic night, the Essies is a very popular nightclub in Lethbridge. It is mostly frequented by yuppies that enjoy a mix of dance, rock and country style music. Honkers Pub and Eatery is equipped with pool tables a large LCD TV. It also offers a diverse menu of breakfast, sandwiches and pizzas. The slice bar and grill features live band performances by the locals everyday. It is also famous for its thin crust pizza and they do provide delivery service.

The Comfort Inn Lethbridge is a four star hotel that is equipped with a fitness center and cross-country trainer. The hotel also serves delectable foods. It is conveniently located 2 miles from the Lethbridge Airport, and adjacent to several tourists attractions like the Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens and the Southern Alberta Art Gallery. The Days Inn Lethbridge, meanwhile, offers a great view and fantastic swimming facilities. Though the rooms are too small, service is good.
