Torrance is blessed to have around 30 parks and parklands, all with various features and facilities. There are parks that show off the natural beauty of the city. Some of these parks are the Madrona Marsh Wildlife Preserve & Nature Center which features a rare marshland ecosystem right within the heart of a city. Those interested in sports and cultural events as well as just having fun can visit 44-acre Wilson Park. It features a roller hockey rink, skatepark, and even picnic areas. This also plays host to the annual Fourth of July fireworks display. There are also parklands by the beaches, offering bicycle paths and vantage viewpoints for the waters.
Torrance is home to the Del Amo Fashion Center. This is one of the largest shopping malls in the US; thus, travelers will surely find most of what they would need at the mall. There are plenty of retail outlets and boutiques for trendy clothing and the latest in fashion. There are also a lot of options for entertainment and having fun, including cinemas and a fitness center. Shoppers can also enjoy great dining experiences in any of the many full-service restaurants and fast-food chains all over the mall.
There are just so many wonderful activities to enjoy in Torrance that travelers will surely find this a great haven. Along the coasts are many beautiful beaches and some urban wetlands. Tourists will also find the Southern California Live Steamers Miniature Railroad to be quite interesting. They could even enjoy a thrilling ride on these miniature steamers. Travelers can also buy tickets to various cultural presentations and events being held at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. Many regular shows are being hosted in this center, offering guests a glimpse into the colorful and wonderful culture of Torrance.
