A Beautiful Desert City

Palm Desert is a beautiful city in California, surrounded by high mountain ranges on almost every side, with the remaining side featuring a sloping valley floor. This unique geography gives the city a subtropical arid climate, with hot temperatures throughout the year – even in winter. Still, there is no question whatsoever that this place is truly a beautiful one, chosen by many people as vacation destination or as permanent residence.

A Home for Celebrities

Once called the Old MacDonald Ranch, who’s to say then that this place would become Palm Desert, a favorite destination and home of many celebrities? In fact, magnate Bill Gates has one residence here. He’s just one of the many who chose this place as an option for building their homes. Perhaps the main draw for celebrities here is that life in this beautiful place is quiet yet wonderful. Also, it is a great destination during winter months for those who want to get out of the cold.

Plenty of Wonderful Things to Find Along El Paseo

Palm Desert takes pride of El Paseo, its main shopping street set in the bustling downtown area. The boutiques and shopping centers that have sprouted along the street offer countless of options for shoppers. Plenty of restaurants and art galleries lie along wonderful shopping street of El Paseo where tourists can find lots of goods and tasty cuisine. There are also lots of interesting landmarks such as multi-colored animal sculptures and various modern art displays.

Of Resorts and Destinations…

Palm Desert is a nice destination, offering guests with lots of options for accommodations to stay in and places to visit. The reason for this is that the city’s economy is based on tourism. Naturally, they aim to provide their guests with such wonderful options. Thus, guests can find great accommodations, ranging from budget motels to high-end resort hotels.

Enjoy fave activities

My wife and I visited Palm Desert a couple of times in the past, and you can say that we have always enjoyed our trips… that is why we keep going back. One of our favorite habits when we visit Palm Desert is to check out possible live performances held at the McCallum Theatre for the Performing Arts. This usually comes after a day of visiting “The Living Desert” for some new finds or improvements. It is like a zoo or garden for sorts that you can check out. Somehow, every time we visit, there is something new there. We also like to dine out during our visits. Those restaurants with al fresco dining are our favorites! There are a lot of them in Palm Desert, so it is always best to check out what is available. Ask your hotel front desk for help!
