Set on a very long expanse of the coasts of the Pacific Ocean, Laguna Beach is the perfect tropical destination that features white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Not surprisingly, the city is a world-famous resort city but also the perfect artist community because of the many beautiful views to spark an inspiration for a painting, artwork, or even literary work.
Be warned, though, that the coasts may be beautiful but they could also be a danger because of the rough, shore-breaking waves that can cause serious injuries. Thus, beachgoers and swimmers are always advised to heed the instructions and warnings of the lifeguards. Still, the beaches are still among the top reasons why millions of people visit the city every year.
Most of the activities that tourists love to do in Laguna Beach have something to do with the coast. Surfing is a great option because of the strong waves but because swimming is also a very popular activity, it might be a little difficult to find a good and safe place to surf without hitting the swimmers. Most of the beaches do not allow surfers but there are those that are devoted for surfing. Skim boarding is also a good option, with Victoria Beach and Aliso the best beaches for expert skim boarders.
Of course, there are also plenty of options for travelers to enjoy away from the beach. One of these is exploring the homes of the local artists in Laguna Beach Art Tours. Another great option is mountain biking or hiking the trails of the Laguna Wilderness Park and Laguna Canyon. Great for expert mountain bikers as the trails are mostly vertical.
