Set on the shores of Long Island, by the Long Island Sound, the city of Glen Cove is a wonderful destination to pick at any given time of the year. Summer is perhaps the best time to visit the city as the waters are not as cold and the sun could give the beachgoers a golden tan. Still, it would be nice to visit the rest of the year because the nice beaches are great destinations. Also, it would be a good idea to compare the beauty of the city as the seasons pass – take pictures of how the colors of the city change with each season.
The beaches of Glen Cove are worth visiting but the one that stands out among the rest is Pryibil Beach. On the coast, travelers will find the Glen Cove Yacht Club, Sea Scout Ship 12, Pryibil Fishing Pier, and Morgan Memorial Park which also includes a quiet beach. It would be fun to walk along the coast, enjoying the surf or just relaxing along with a loved one, family, or friends.
Aside from the beach, there are also other great attractions in Glen Cove. One of these is the Garvies Point Museum and Preserve where tourists can find great exhibits. It is also a good idea to visit places like the Nassau County Holocaust Center at Welwyn Preserve, Dennis Brian Murray Park, and Stanco Park. For golf enthusiasts, head to the Glen Cove Municipal Golf Course. How about shooting? And to those who are interested in shooting, go to the Indoor Shooting Range.
To be able to do that, first find a wonderful hotel to stay in – the rest will often just fall into place. Pick the hotel that is located close to the best destinations or near the restaurants.
