Travel light
If you are on a low budget, it is best to travel light. This way, you can save on the costs for excess baggage which could be very expensive.
Choose off peak seasons
Peak seasons for tourists at any given place means higher rates on everything – hotels, fares, tours. Also, it would be quite crowded. To enjoy the view plus pay less, travel during off peak seasons.
Plan your trip and book ahead of time
Research on hotels, transport options, attractions, etc. If you plan your trip, you could find the best hotels, the best deals to save you money. This also holds true for booking weeks or even months before schedule because many hotels and airlines offer greatly discounted deals for those who book in advance.
Find an affordable airline
You don’t have to fly on the world’s best but expensive carriers when low cost liners fly the same routes and cost less.
Choose the best transport option
Yes, traveling by air will bring you the fastest to your destination but this is usually the most costly, too. If you can find affordable airlines, then great! But if you are really on a low budget, you might consider going there by bus, train, or on a rental car. You could also try to hitch a ride; though this should be your last option. You might be able to save a couple of dollars from having to pay a fare but you might be putting your life at risk.
