The city of Fairlawn may not be so large but it is modern and developed in its own way. This is a far cry from the humble hamlet from where it began back in 1891. This small hamlet began to grow slowly but steadily. Within 20 years, it already had several businesses operating. As the hamlet grew, it was upgraded to village. Upon reaching the requirements to become a city, it was incorporated as such by 1970.
Being over a century old, the city does have a number of places of interest to offer its visitors. Travelers can find several parks in the city as well, many of these have varied recreational facilities for everyone to enjoy. Some of the parks also feature sports facilities and ball fields. Those traveling with kids can find some parks equipped with playgrounds for them to enjoy. The Rosemont Country Club features a lush golf course and excellent club facilities. Travelers should not miss visiting the Route 18 corridor where several shopping centers and outlet stores are situated. Don’t forget to bring cash or credit cards as there is bound to be irresistible stuff to find in these stores.
There are many different ways for travelers to enjoy the city, depending on their preference. Shopping divas can enjoy the shops at Route 18. One can also travel up and down the city’s streets to explore every facet of the city, starting from or ending in the downtown area. To best enjoy the city, visitors should spend at least a few days of exploring its attractions and tasting its local cuisine and specialties.
