Confused about what footwear to bring for your travel? Consider the following conditions.
Sandals and vented shoes wouldn’t help you much when trudging through knee-deep snow – your feet will freeze! Likewise, wearing thick heavy winter shoes for a trip to the tropics would be downright ridiculous.
Determining the right footwear to bring while traveling should definitely depend upon where you are traveling. If you are visiting the tropics, bring some flip flops and light footwear with you. When going to snowy cities, you’ll need no-slip closed shoes. These no-slip closed shoes are also ideal if you are going to trek up mountains and hills.
You will probably do a lot of walking on your travel. Thus, it would be best to wear comfortable shoes made for walking so you don’t unnecessarily tire yourself down halfway through the day. Vented walking shoes and a pair of cotton socks are your best options in most travel destinations. Closed shoes will also protect you from dirt, worms, and bacteria that you might pick up from walking.
It is important that you bring your best pair of shoes or sandals. If you bring new shoes, you could develop blisters easily but this can be remedied by bandages. Bringing along a formal pair of shoes can also keep you prepared for unexpected invitations for gala events and dinner. Again, you never know – it is best to come prepared.
Of course, it is always safest to bring more than one pair of shoes. Make sure that one is made especially for walking.
