Huntington is set on the beautiful coasts of Orange County, California. Most of the city is bordered by the coast, Seal Beach on the northwest, Newport Beach on the southeast, and the Pacific Ocean on the southwest. The remainder of the city is bounded by Costa Mesa on the east and Fountain Valley on the northeast. This coast to coast location offers travelers a chance to enjoy the best of Huntington, its beaches and water bodies and coasts as much as they can. This seaside city is among the best and the largest beach city in Orange County, the latter is in terms of population.
Surfing is one of the favorite activates that travelers do in Huntington. The reason for this is that the long coast of this beach city has a mild climate and great surf, perfect for surfing. This coast stretches for 8.5 miles, offering lots of options not just for surfers but for swimmers, beach bums, and all kinds of travelers. The city is also perfect for sightseeing, with beautiful sunsets framed across the picture-perfect waters of the sea. Travelers can also enjoy visiting sites like the Bolsa Chica Wildlife Refuge, International Surfing Museum, Huntington Central Park, Huntington Beach Pier, and many others.
Huntington is a wondrous place to visit and, of course, to live in. There are a number of hotels, offering various accommodation options to fit every kind of budget for any traveler. Traveling can always be fun in this beautiful place, with its lots of retail shopping options all over the downtown area. In fact, the city is considering closing off Main Street to become a pedestrian zone only – for the best enjoyment of the travelers heading to Huntington for fun.

Surf's up dudeSurfing is taken to a whole new level whenever you visit Huntington Beach. I am sure this is not exactly THE only place for surfers, but it sure is one of the best options whenever you are in Orange County. Besides, did you know that there is a surfing museum here? Therefore, surfing really is something big here. Anyway, if you don’t want to hit the beach, you could always try out the food choices in Huntington Beach. Some of my favorite spots include Mo’s BBQ, Fred’s Mexican Café, Gyu Kaku, and Dukes Huntington Beach. If you want to do some shopping, Farmer’s Market near the Pier Plaza is a great place. But then again, what do I know about shopping? If you just like to be a little active, you can do a number of activities like kite surf, body surf, sail, whale watch, ice skate, and play handball. |
