It’s no wonder why thousands flock to San Francisco every year despite its relatively small size. This city is absolutely bursting with energy. In If you hit the right spots, your visit to this part of California will definitely be one worth remembering.
Hop on cable cars or walk along the well-known streets surrounded by beautiful Victorian houses. Take a trip to Chinatown and get some of that delicious dimsum. Grab some of that to-die-for Dungeness crab at Fisherman’s Wharf and go on a shopping spree in Union Square. Discover authentic Italian culture and cuisine in the little Italy of SF: North Beach. In the Golden Gate City, hearts are free and appetites run wild!
They say San Francisco is home to up-and-coming artists. As a result, the city has a booming arts and culture facility. A trip to the Asian Art Museum is in order. Noted as one of the biggest museums internationally, its collection of Asian artifacts is as fascinating as it is extensive. History buff or not, one will surely enjoy the Musée Mécanique which houses novelty penny arcades and the Wax Museum at Fisherman’s Wharf with over 200 wax figures. The Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art are also one of the more popular museums of the area and shouldn’t be missed.
The Golden Gate Bridge is truly an amazing piece of architecture and goes on for miles. Take a helicopter ride and marvel at its beauty. However, the locals say that the best way to experience this bridge is by walking through it with a friend and a camera in hand. With a breathtaking view of the city, a stroll like this is all you’ll need to relax and unwind.
This island where the infamous Alcatraz prison lays abandoned is a great favorite amongst travelers and locals. Take a ferry boat ride and get a whiff of that fresh ocean scent. Once you land on the island, take guided tours of the Cell Block and learn about the notorious escape from Alcatraz and the equally infamous inmates involved.

Artist’s heavenThere are a lot of things that I like about San Francisco that made me want to make that leap from Hollywood. Sure, Hollywood is where the glam and bam of everything is, but there is something about San Francisco that appeals to the artist in me. For one thing, you know that the creative scene in San Francisco is always updated. Its just that the city boosts artists and gives them leeway to express themselves. If you are not convinced of this, you can check out the art museums that are found in the city. Ah, but of course, one of the most gorgeous view of the city is the Golden Gate Bridge. For that, and for that alone, I transferred. Its just better here for me. Guest submitted photos

Tips for SF touristsEven if you stay in San Francisco for a while, there is absolutely no reason for you not to enjoy yourself during your visit. Before anything else, make sure you take a cable car ride! You can never really say that you have been to San Francisco without getting on a ride of the known red cable car! Okay, so Alcatraz is a given place to visit… and so are the gazillion galleries. But you should definitely drop by Union Square. They have all these shops and restaurants and even some secret courtyards to enjoy at night or at daytime. There is also a place called Japan Center, where you can have the best Japanese treatment like furnishings, spa , shops, and fantastic Japanese food! Guest submitted photos ![]()
