Of the Woods and the World by the RoomStays Editorial Team on Dec 25, 2010 Make your own contribution

More of the modern world than the woods, the city of Beachwood invites guests to a subdued yet affluent suburb in Ohio. This is a suburb of Cleveland, a place you can easily visit via a scenic drive. Visiting the Forest City brings you closer to the woods yet you are still firmly anchored to the modern city’s contemporary buildings and establishments.

Stay Safe, Stay Happy

There are many accommodation options that you’ll find suitable to your needs and requirements. Budget motels offer affordable rooms with basic amenities to travelers on a tight budget. Some of these budget motels offer suites that are cheaper yet have deluxe amenities compared to the standard rooms. There are also modern, high quality multiple-star hotels that offer guests with upgraded amenities, luxuriant accommodations, and best locations. What matters, really, is that the guests are comfortable, safe, and happy no matter where they choose to stay, paying cheaply or expensively.

Get Lost in the Beauty of the City Park

Who said you can’t enjoy the woods while in the city? The City Park of Beachwood offers a woody refuge to tourists, guests, and residents. It is open to the public. Scenic trails, some with gravel and others paved, wind within the park, offering perfect avenues for strolling, biking, or skating. There are boardwalks and crosswalks also dot the park. It is easy to get lost in the beauty of the park – many tourists fall in love with the park and stay here for hours. There are designated picnic areas here so bring your lunch and enjoy it while you admire the views.

Culinary Acclaim

Beachwood shares some of the spotlight on the culinary acclaim that Cleveland has achieved. You’ll find a number of gourmet restaurants here serving some of the best food you’ll ever taste. There are less options here but, remember that Cleveland is just a short drive away.

City and nature in one

Contributed by Kevin Gunn on Jun 2, 2011

There are a lot of things that I happen to like about Beachwood, but I think the thing that tops my list is the fact that the city is a great mix of city life with a bit of nature/woodsy flavor. I cannot really put my finger on it, but I hope you get what I mean. My family and I stayed at the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Beachwood for a relative’s wedding, and boy, we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend taking a stroll at the city's local park because it is ideal for small picnics or for some quiet time with a book. Another thing I like about Beachwood is that it gives you a sense of security because of its slow paced life. I am not driven to paranoia that my wallet would be snatched or something. Definitely a good place to visit.
