1. Freedom Trail

The best hotspot to start off your Boston vacation is to walk the 2.5 mile-long Freedom Trail. This area is home to 16 historic sites that include Boston Common, Old South Meeting House, Paul Revere House and USS Constitution.

2. Quincy Market

Adjacent to Faneuil Hall along the Freedom Trail is Quincy Market. This historic building is always a bustling area that combined options for dining and shopping. Try to dine in this area at least once to get a feel of Boston’s bustle especially during lunch time when downtown workers come in flocks.

3. Museum of Science

A favorite among local families, the Museum of Science features is a must-visit hotspot for vacationing families. It features more than 500 interactive exhibits, a planetarium with shows, daily live presentations, an IMAX theater and over 100 rescued animals.

4. Fenway Park

Opening in 1912, Fenway Park is the oldest stadium in Major League Baseball still in operation. Watch the Boston Red Sox baseball club play in their home field. Even if the team is not playing, visitors are still afforded daily tours of the park.

5. North End

Called Boston’s Italy due to the number of its Italian-American population, North End is also the city’s oldest neighborhood since it was occupied in the 1630s. It is a great area for dining out since it is home to over 100 cafes, bakeries, restaurants and coffee shops.

6. Museum of Fine Arts

For art lovers coming to Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts is one hotspot not to be missed. With almost half a million artworks – one of the most comprehensive art collections in the world – it attracts more than 1 million visitors a year. The collection spans different regions from early and contemporary American art including some Asian and Egyptian art pieces.

7. Newbury Street

Those who want to enjoy a shopping spree should head to Newbury Street. This shopping district is home to countless trendy boutiques and upscale fashion labels. The area also has a number of restaurants and salons.
